The Charlevoix region is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful tourist regions in Quebec because of its elusive panoramas and the presence of the magnificent St. Lawrence River. Charlevoix is full of attractions and activities to please all tastes. Alpine and cross-country skiing enthusiasts will be delighted by Le Massif de Petite-Rivière-St-François, Mont Grand-Fonds and Mont St-Anne (near Quebec City). If you like good food, the region has many well-known restaurants. Art galleries abound in Baie-St-Paul, Les Éboulements and La Malbaie. With the Manoir Richelieu, its casino and its golf course, La Malbaie is a must in the region, as is St-Irénée where the Forget estate has an international reputation for its music. Cap à l'Aigle, with its marina, is a very popular place for enthusiasts of nautical activities on the river. Further east, don't forget the Tadoussac sector, renowned for its bay (one of the most beautiful in the world). This is the starting point for whale-watching excursions or for cruises on the majestic Saguenay Fjord.
